The St. Catharines Saints have officially concluded an impressive 2025-2026 campaign, securing a hard-fought third-place finish in the league standings. The season was defined by high-octane offense and a relentless competitive spirit, anchored by some of the league’s most elite individual performances. David Pacan led the charge, finishing as the league’s second-highest scorer with 41 points and a team-high 26 assists. He was joined at the top of the scoresheet by Justin Brack, who matched Pacan with 15 goals and dominated the power play with six goals on the man advantage. The Saints' offensive depth was further showcased by Niki Petti, who averaged an incredible 2.5 points per game, and Ryan Donovan, who provided consistent production throughout the 22-game schedule.
The team’s success was also built on moments of individual brilliance and physical grit. Fans at Merritton Centennial Arena were treated to six different hat tricks this season, including two apiece from Brack and Petti. When the games got physical, the Saints never backed down, led by the defensive toughness of Tory McLean and Frank Nemeth, who combined for over 100 penalty minutes to protect the crease. Between the pipes, Trevor Micucci was the team’s backbone, earning seven wins and providing veteran stability during the season's most critical stretches. One of the year’s definitive highlights came on December 13, when the Saints erupted for a 9-3 statement victory over the Dundas Real McCoys, signaling to the rest of the league that St. Catharines remains a championship contender.
With the regular season in the rearview mirror, the Saints are now heading into a highly anticipated playoff matchup against the Wentworth Gryphins. While the official schedule is still to be determined, the intensity is already building for this postseason clash. Be sure to follow along for updates as we prepare to chase the cup.
